Did You Know?

It is called Black Friday because it is traditionally the first day of the year that stores become profitable - pushing them out of the Red and into the Black.

oh I thought it was black, because black represents death, and someone always seems to die on that day in a store.

So did I! Or like Black Thursday that signaled the beginning of the Great Depression.

Mike Shaw calls it "Buy Nothing Day" I used to get it confused with Good Friday--which is NOT okay

I thought it was called Black Friday because the blackest part of our souls seems to come out in the fact of a flatscreen TV for $700.
