I need you all to talk me down off the ledge. This is a very dangerous, life changing ledge. The recovery from jumping off this ledge takes months at least.
I was tempted this morning to cut bangs.
I learned recently that "girls with bangs" is something white people like, and I think I could get really chunky ones that would look good all the time.
But I know I'm just lying to myself. And I would NEVER do them.
But, isn't it worth a shot?
this is a dangerous ledge.

I too recently stood on this ledge. I was fully prepared to have bangs. (Did you know there's a town in Texas called Bangs?) So when I went in to get my haircut I told Ahnold (my hairdresser) to cut it however he would like and hinted and nudged and winked that I would probably like bangs. He told me I would look horrible with bangs so I quickly ran from the edge. Maybe you should ask someone professional...they seem to know. And bangs are hard to hide if they look awful. But probably you won't look awful no matter what. I really have no knowledge or advice...just personal experience... (I'm just rambling now..) (and using lots of dot dot dots...)
Toni, I just got bangs, and they're a big fat pain in the butt...but I like them. And when I get lazy, that's what bobby pins are for, right? The only ledge I'll talk you off of is cutting them yourself, BAD idea! Unless you're much better with scissors than I am.
From someone who has bangs, and who has been trying to grow them out for five years only to jump off the cliff when in full disgust with them and be back in the start position. They sometimes look good, they sometimes do what you want and they sometimes only take a few minutes to dry and style...but most of the time, they are a pain. If you do decide to do it, get them done professionally..bangs are to much in the forefront to mess up.
Bangs are not for you.
Little Anna is up in our etsy shop (www.littlesaplingtoys.etsy.com), but not the LST website yet. The pictures are great, I just need more!
Toni, remember how I keep jumping from that ledge too. Then how I hate it.
Don't do it. Even though they will probably look good on you, they aren't worth the pain and the literal headache they bring from having something almost in your eyes all of the time.
I'm not going to do it again either.
Girls are weird.
maybe just try a cut that isn't as drastic as bangs and that might satisfy your need for change in the do. if not i say go for bangs! hair grows right?
What you need is a good Laurie cousin swoop. Long enough to pin back, short enough to cover your green dot. Oh, wait. . .
I would rather have a green dot, personally.
