Remember the concrete irrigation pipes that ran through the yard and orchards?
I loved running along them as a kid, and jumping the gaps that were opened for each row. For the longest time I could only jump the ones that were 1-2 pipe lengths. I was jealous of the olda kids who could easily jump the 3 pipe-length holes. I was always afraid that I wouldn't make it and end up with my knees banging into the rim.
Eventually I could, and it was suddenly less fun to run along the pipes.

On the way to the Norris' back fence, there were a couple in a row that we could jump, then paths around the too-long-gaps. Everything was smooth, too, so you could do the entire run barefoot.
I didn't exist when those pipes were around, so instead I'll just say that I love your Google Images skills. You always seem to find a great picture to go with your posts.
Despite how you feel about it, I really would like to hear updates on your pregnancy. And see pictures of your belly. But not until you're actually showing.
I had the same experience, probably a year before you did.
Remember how sometimes we'd be walking to school only I wanted to go faster and you wanted to walk slower? We came up with a satisfactory compromise where I would run behind you and push, so you wouldn't have to use so much energy, and I could go faster.
i didn't actually like that compromise at all thad.
