Moorea Trip Pics

Ben planned a LC (life changer) vacation for the two of us this summer. We went to an island called Moorea, which is about a 30 minute ferry ride from Tahiti.

This was our arrival on the ferry, which was a very pleasant, smooth ride. At least it seems so now, compared to the trip back.

We flew all night and arrived at the resort at about 10am but check in wasn't until 2pm. They told us to relax and enjoy the resort until then. The first thing we found was these hammocks. We fell into them immediately and didn't get up for 2-3 hours.

Its kinds of hard to believe that this is a real place that I visited. It just looks like a screen saver. This was the island, it was kind of like Moana's island. Pretty rural, one road, no traffic lights, big mountains and a reef surrounding it that kept the island in a calm lagoon.

At dinner one night we ate over the water, there were manta rays and sharks that only come out at night (that's why it's ok to snorkel during the day).

If you look closely, you can spot Ben snorkeling. We got a nice bungalow over the water so we just stepped outside and into the water whenever we wanted.

Sunrise. The waves are breaking on the reef, just below the horizon.

Banana tree. I was listening to an audiobook about the history of bananas as I walked around the resort. It's called "Banana" by Dan Koeppel. It was just ok.

We were there for 9 days. Ben has better pics, drone style pics.

And while we were gone, Beetle and Russell built this awesome pergola while watching all the kids. awesome!!

That looks amazing! Hm. I see that someone else has had the exact same response, so it must be genuine. And thank you for the book review, I was wondering.
