I have come to believe that mothers, when required, can carry infinite number of miscellaneous items.
the other day I went to the mall (with Anna), I stopped at the food court for a hot dog and Orange Julius. After I paid I figured out how to carry:
Car seat (with sleeping child)
hot dog (in shoddy paper tray)
Orange Julius
napkins
knife and fork
Diaper bag.
and I made it all the way to the table without dropping, spilling or waking.
Last night we went out to sit on the lawn, when we got tired I picked up:
Wiggly baby
toy blocks
giant outside blanket
and was able to keep everything up off the ground.
So, here's to motherhood and my new found appreciation for the "Responsible Woman"

Today I carried 3 bags of groceries, a full diaper bag with a water bottle & sippy cup rested precariously on top, a bag holding a change of clothes, Linc and his big stroller. I think God blesses us with extra carrying powers when we become mothers...
You must be really buff! And balanced. Well done.
I would never be able to do that, when I pick up a pile of stuff pretty much everything falls off...
Oh, and, your babies are adorable!
I am glad that neither of these scenarios included you dropping the wide-eyed baby pictured above.
My roommates when I lived in Paris nicknamed me "Mary Poppins" because my bag had no bottom to it. Seriously.
I'm going to say it again: I really really hope Eva looks like Anna.
Wow. I understand that picture now. Good insight Toni
it truly is amazing what we have to carry around when a mother, i sometimes miss the pick up and go with nothing but car keys these days!
