Setting up for a hard fall

A baby's dependence on the pacifier is like America's dependence on oil.

Sometimes it cures the hiccups, and gets her to sleep, but at what price?

It may work for now but you are in for a real hard fall down the road.

Maybe so--but at least for a year it will be nice to have.

At least it doesn't cost $40 everytime you put it in

Well there is good news, most of the time they ween themselves. Linc was dependent on that thing for a few months and now its just something to chew on. As long as it helps for now, i think it's worth it.

The only issue I've found with a pacifier (since I've birthed a million billion babies and all) is that if she gets hooked on the green jello hospital one, you can't buy a satisfactory replacement. They don't sell them anywhere.

But maybe there's a pacifier black market somewhere, eh?

Its true. Especially when you don't have one with you--like at church, in the car, or when the baby is super tired.

You'd almost sell your soul for a binkie when you really need one.

Pacifiers should be against the word of wisdom!
