What I Did Yesterday

Yesterday, I was a woman possessed. I went to the fabric store early in the morning to get some straight pins, but while I was there I remembered my secret wish to make Anna a dress out of some material I had, so I went to the patterns and bought my first ever.

I went home and spent the rest of the day - seriously - I stopped only to eat some lunch, forgetting all day to take my pills or even drink any water all day, and I made these two dresses. The green one I think of as the Sound Of Music play clothes made from curtains, but it was just a practice, the red one is really the one I was excited to make.

The best part, is that I made them from old skirts, which I had made from pillow cases. Just passing on the tradition.

Next you should practice making a dress for me! I will wear it the first time I see Anna if that helps motivate you more.

Once again, LOVE THEM!! Save the pattern for one day when we have a little girl!!! (As in you as favorite aunt can make a dress for her :), mom can't sew to save her life)And no this isn't announcing I'm pregnant...not even close.

I think you need to do a post about how to make a skirt out of a pillowcase. I cant figure it out in my head.
