In a sad but welcome turn of events, I have been released from the Sunbeams. It's okay though, Moonunit didn't really like sitting in those little chairs anymore.
I have been reassigned to the Mia Maids as an advisor.
I went to mutual tonight and I'd like to make a couple of points
a) teenage girls (maybe all teens) LOVE to show off. If their self esteem is good, they brag about their conquests in boys and or fashion. If self esteem is suffering, they emphasize just how weird they are - anything to get attention.
b) girls that place themselves in the "upper" social circles will always band together, even if their ages differ 2-3 years. I don't know if I can explain this sufficiently.
c) Ice Cream is always good.
d) I look younger or as young as most of them.
e) I'm highly surprised how prepared I am to handle even the oddest girls, I think from my own time spent in yw's.
I think that's all, I'll keep you updated.

No more Sunbeam Chronicles!?!?!
But Jan, I have a sneaking suspicion the Teen Girl Squad Chronicles are going to be just as funny, if not more so.
And I'm in love with Jim Halpert. Did I tell you that? In. Love.
It's because you were one of the weird girls.
That's mean, Beetle. Toni was, is, and always will be straddling that line between cool and weird -- just like me.
Good job Beetle. That was my exact thought. But don't tell Ben that.
But then again, I am Toni's friend by choice...not relation. What does that make me?
Rule C is still true in YSA Relief Society. I just had some. Delicious.
good luck with those teenage girls. I agree that most all of them want tons of attention, and are usually totally self-absorbed. They are the hard ones for me to handle. There are also the ones that don't want any attention. That's kinda sad for me at school. This is jethro. But not the jethro signed up on jan's blog. The jethro that grew up with jan. and toni. And sometimes beetle.
