Take out the Trash

I feel like Garbage.
I was looking at the facebook profile of a girl I went to High School with, she's married now. That's not why I feel like garbage. She has two photo albums. The first entitled "Italy" chronicling her travels there with her family. The other is called "Russia" where she apparently did a semester abroad. It's not merely Russia though, she traveled with her other El Ed friends to Estonia, Latvia, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
I spent a summer in Wyoming.
That's all I can say.
What the devil is an El Ed major doing traveling around the world, visiting all these fantastic places?
Maybe it's just because I'm finishing my WWII class and can now properly identify and tell you facts about cities like Bergen, Norway.

Does somebody need a trip to Europe this summer? Priceline, baby... Priceline!

Please don't forget that the summer spent in Jackson was the best darn summer of your ENTIRE life...previous to and forevermore. And you know why that is? Let's say it in unison...you met me! Please, Italy and Bergen don't have me there and so they're just second rate.

Marci, basically you're right, but we can't forget that you've been to europe. So basically, you're biased.

Eh...it's not all that great. Just really good food, ambience, foreign accents, cool adventures, and lots of castles. That's nothing compared to book days on the lawn under the trees, or scrubbing pots!

Uhhhhh, I think you forgot about Cleveland, Nashville and all of the places in the US that our family has been.

You don't think Europeans would spend a decade's worth of wages to come and visit Zion's National Park? The grass is always greener in Utah. (because we flood irrigate). Be happy that you don't have to take out loans to go on those big trips.

Anyway, lets go to Russia in two years. You and your Ben, and me and mine. Grumma Soup can watch Clark.

Also, its not that cool to go to Finland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania all while in Russia--they are like four hours away from each other. You just sleep on the train and wake up in a different place each morning. All she probably did there was find the McDonalds and think how cool it was that she found an American restaurant and English-speaking people there--you can go to McDonald's anytime you want!

See me for more ammunition to fight this battle.

"If you compare yourself with others you may become vain and bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself."
Where did I read this lately?

Really though, if there's any two words I would use to describe Toni, they're vain and bitter.

Yeah, but you have been to Nashville and Cleveland. I think. Then you rode a bus cross-country. Has anyone else reading this blog done that?

I surely hope not.
